About the workshop

Our voices are shaped by the lives we’ve lived.

Every breath, every habit of holding, every laugh, every song, every joyful shout, and every moment we’ve learned to be silent becomes part of how we sound.

Embodied Voice Practices invites you into a different relationship with your voice—not by trying to perfect it, but by listening to the body from which it emerges.

As the body becomes more awake, responsive, and connected, the voice naturally becomes more resonant, expressive, and alive.

What we'll explore

Embodied Voice

Awakening the body’s natural resonance through movement, breath, vibration, and sound.

Vocal Improvisation

Expanding creativity, curiosity, and vocal freedom through spontaneous exploration and play.

Collective Singing

Experiencing the joy, resonance, and connection of voices coming together in song.

What to expect

Throughout the day we’ll:

  • move
  • breathe
  • sound
  • improvise
  • sing together

Expect a day that is vibrant, playful, creative, and deeply nourishing.

Who is this workshop for?

Whether you’re

  • a singer
  • a performer
  • a teacher
  • or simply curious to discover more of your own voice,

you are warmly welcome.

No previous singing experience is necessary.

Bring only curiosity and a willingness to explore.

Facilitators

Julianna Bloodgood is a vocalist, performer, and facilitator working at the intersection of embodied voice, somatic practice, and artistic research. Her work explores voice as a relational, physical, and expressive force — emerging through the body, sensation, and presence rather than through technique alone.

Drawing from years of performance, ensemble work, and somatic inquiry, Julianna creates spaces where voice can unfold organically, in dialogue with movement, listening, and collective process. Her facilitation emphasizes trust, attunement, and the intelligence of the body as a primary source of creative knowledge.

Her work is rooted in the belief that the voice is not something we perform, but something we uncover.
